The Hilltop Cowboys Athletic Association has been around since 1982, ran by my grandfather, George Payne. My name is Tabatha and I am the cheerleading commissioner, I too was a Cowgirl cheerleader for 10 years while growing up, 3 years in High school and I have coached for the last 5 years and this upcoming season is my second year as a cheer commissioner. We have grown so much on the cheerleading side of our organization and I would love to find local talent that is willing to volunteer their time and share their SKILLS to help give the opportunity to another aspiring cheerleader.

The Hilltop Cowboys organization is affiliated through the Karl J. Fulton Pony football league on the Westside of Columbus, Ohio. I am looking to fill some head coach and assistant coach positions as well as anyone willing to help recruit cheerleaders to our organization. This is a non-profit organization and it is 100% volunteered activities. Most of our cheerleaders are as young as 4 years old up to 14 years old. We offer 4 levels, the micro mini division (4Y-6Y), the minis (7Y-9Y), the juniors (10Y-12y) and the seniors (13Y-14Y). Our season generally will start when school lets out, roughly the end of May. I do organize some pre-season camps that is open to the entire league we are affiliated through. I also handle the fundraising for the cheerleaders. The season consists of practice 2-3 times a week, usually Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with a game every Saturday starting in early August. The season usually wraps up first weekend of November and the cheerleaders also participate in our annual KJF Cheer Competition, I would like to add in another competition this year to allow the girls an opportunity to compete off the Westside of town. It may seem like a lot but they say it takes a village to help raise a child and I firmly believe that each and every person in a child's life makes an impact. So if you have the gift of giving and the skills to teach some cheerleading, please feel free to contact me by email. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have! We will have our first season meeting on Friday, February 10, 2017 @ 6PM located at Jays Sports Lounge (3475 Sullivant Ave.), please feel free to stop by and see what our program is all about.
