I handle a lot of the day-to-day work myself, but I need a skilled partner to tackle specific, high-skill tasks that are difficult to bid out on a flat rate.
Typical Tasks Include:
- Framing: Basic structural framing and repair, wall modifications, and structural troubleshooting.
- Siding Repair: General exterior siding repairs, blending new sections with old, and proper flashing/weatherproofing.
- Floor & Room Prep: Leveling old/sloped floors (e.g., tapering sleeper boards to match subfloors), squaring up old framing, and prepping kitchens/bathrooms so they are ready for drywall or tile.
Work Structure & Schedule:
This is not a full-time, 40-hour-a-week job. It is ideal for a solo operator, semi-retired builder, or a highly skilled tradesperson looking for steady side work.
The Commitment: I am looking for someone who can typically commit to 2 days of work at a time, given 5 to 10 days of advance notice.
Compensation: Paid via a competitive Day Rate or Hourly (Time & Materials). I provide a clear workspace and have materials on-site ready to go. You bring your tools and expertise. Paid immediately upon completion of the block.
Requirements:
- Must have your own reliable transportation.
- Must have your own tools.
- Drug free environment.
