Vintage Classic Dunlap (Sears) 19” Metal Toolbox with Removable Tray. The toolbox is 19” long, 7” wide and 7 ½” tall. Based on my research it probably dates to the 1940’s/50’s. It is identified as a Dunlap with the decal inside the lid. The center hasp is marked Excelsior, Stamford, Conn. I have not identified any other markings on the box. The box and tray are in very good condition for their age. There is some minor rust. Please examine the photos to fully assess its condition. The top is attached to the box with a piano type hinge, which functions normally. The handle appears to have been wrapped with black electrical tape. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions or for more photos. I strive to accurately describe my items. This box has been in my family for at least 60 years. I do not know if it was ever repainted. I would note that there seems to be a few drip marks on one side of the lid, which might indicate that it was repainted at some point. These boxes are of interest to collectors. Dunlop was a house brand for Sears. I am pricing this to sell. Cross posted. Porch pickup.
