This Samsung 840 Pro SSD (Solid State Drive) is new and still in the factory sealed box. It is lightning fast (see the charts in my ad pictures). Samsung has always been known for their gard drive reliability. It is the best upgrade you can do to an older computer. I am the original owner of this SSD. I bought it about years ago from Micro Center for $150 + tax. I was going to update my spinning hard drive in am old HP Envy computer, but then decided to make it into an external hard drive. Obviously, I never did either. It has always been in my pet free, smoke free house.
There are tutorials on YouTube how to copy your operating system on this to update your laptop. It's a 2.5" SATA drive, but I think you can use it in a desktop computer AND keep a regular drive in it too.
If you want to use it as an external hardrive, you will need to buy an 2.5" external SATA SSD enclosure. I just looked and they are anywhere from $7 to $20 on Amazon. Some have 4 hour or overnight delivery if you have Prime and are in Columbus.
Sorry to write a book on this, but there is one more thing...I mentioned this has never been opened. When you decide to buy it, once you pay for it, you can open it in front of me to be sure nothing obvious is wrong with it. I have read horror stories about buyers ending up with nothing in a box, but rocks!!! YES...Cleveland rocks, but buying a box with rocks in it doesn’t rock!
