***THIS LISTING IS FOR ONE BEDROOM AND ONE BATHROOM IN A 2BR/2BA APARTMENT UNIT IN DOWNTOWN COLUMBUS, HIGHLIGHTED IN RED IN THE FLOOR PLAN IMAGE ATTACHED.
ALSO, YOU WILL NEED TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ON LIVETHESENECA.COM AND PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK IN ORDER TO GET ON THIS LEASE. IF YOU THINK TO YOURSELF "MY APPLICATION WILL DEFINITELY HAVE RED FLAGS", DO NOT MESSAGE OR APPLY.***
My current roommate is moving out on December 6*; you will be added to the lease for December 2025 to June 2027*, with the ability to renew moving forward. If you need to move out prior to June 2027, I only ask that you find someone to sublease your spot.
The bedroom and bathroom in question are actually slightly larger than my own; as long as you have about a studio's worth of furniture (plus toiletries) they and the hallway on that side of the unit should have plenty of space.
The apartment complex is located at the corner of Broad St and Grant Ave. Rent includes water and trash service; we will be splitting AEP electric and Spectrum gigabit internet (which would as of this winter be $120 per person). Parking is in the garage north of the SERS building across the street to the northwest and will run approximately an extra $100 a month if you need it.
The complex has a good gym (namely, contains an actual squat rack alongside the usual cardio & weighted machines) on the first floor plus a fairly large resident lounge where complex-wide events are held about every month & an Amazon Hub package locker. Additionally, maintenance tends to be very responsive on weekdays (and on weekends if it's an emergency). There's also a tanning lounge inside the gym and a little coffee bar near the elevators, though I don't really use either.
Apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen with an electric kettle, basic Keurig, and basic Ninja air fryer in addition to the apartment-provided refrigerator, electric range, microwave, and dishwasher; in-unit washer and dryer; & a currently fully furnished living room. (This may change if the current roommate takes the coffee table with her, but that will be the only piece of furniture we would need if so.)
Up to two pets (cats, or dogs up to 65 pounds) are allowed; pet rent is an additional $35 a month unless you have an ESA letter.
I currently work for DFAS (based in Whitehall) remotely on a medical telework agreement, which I may need to extend halfway through this lease. I will typically be working in my room from about 7:30 to 4 and would prefer that you keep any loud-ish noise to your side of the apartment during those hours.
My hobbies include travel (I plan to visit Anaheim, the UK, and a small town in Ontario next year), going to EDM festivals and shows (I currently plan on attending EDC Las Vegas in 2027, state of the world permitting, and am a semi-regular at most local venues), playing most genres of video games, watching most genres of anime, trying out new restaurants, and working out.
I would prefer a roommate who is close in age to me (I am 34 years old) and who is gainfully employed, who can pay rent and bills on time, who can keep common areas reasonably clean (though not expecting anything to be spotless), who is active and detailed in communicating with me, and who shares at least one hobby. By active communication, I primarily mean try to give me a little bit of notice when you're going to have someone over or when you're going to be out for a while.
* You may actually be subleasing from my current roommate, pending the results of two court cases she's involved in; to be clear I have communicated to her that she will need to sign the current lease or otherwise be ready to move out no later than December 6th. I will keep this listing updated to reflect the current situation when it comes to this.
