Well-Trained Red Heeler Available For Adoption

Jax is a young Red Heeler available for re-home to an active family! He is 55-lbs! He’s up-to-date on all of his vaccinations and will come with 1-month of Heartworm prevention AND 1-month of flea/tick prevention!

He is roughly a year-old, and will be going in for his neuter within the next week!

Jax has been training with me for the last month, and I feel he is finally ready to complete someone’s family!

Jax is:
-GREAT with people! He’s never met a stranger, and looooves his “person” especially.
-Great with other dogs!! He definitely prefers females over males, but he gets along fantastic with everyone.
-Crate trained*
-Potty trained*

Jax is NOT:
-Cat safe. With the right home, and the right cat, *maybe*, but I would never trust him alone with one. I see a LOT of over-interest in the cats I have in my home, and I would not be surprised if one took off and triggered his prey drive.
-SMALL child safe. He is a decent sized dog with a ton of energy and rambunctiousness. I only say he is not small child safe because I could see him accidentally knocking one over. Older kids, I see no issues!

Jax knows the basic commands: “heel”, “sit”, “down”, “stay”, and “place”!

He has been trained to not pull on the leash and to not jump on people.

He is decent off-leash, although I have not pushed off-leash training. He tends to stay pretty close, though!

He needs an active home that will provide him with enrichment and stimulation. He settles VERY nicely in the house, and is content to just relax with his people, but he is also a young dog that needs an outlet for all that energy!

Jax will be sold on a contract that states he returns to ME for any reason should his new home no longer be able to provide adequate care.

*Will go into more detail upon further inquiring!
