For sale is a Fostex DMT-8VL Digital Multitracker. Asking $100.
Great digital recorder from the '90s. I got this to be the recording medium for a computer-less recording setup I'm trying to put together. I got it because of its relative affordability and especially because it records uncompressed audio. This thing is clean. The manual comes with it. The only reason I'm parting with it is because it's a bit more complicated than I'm wanting for this setup. I want something that is a purely for recording, not for editing or mixing. I cannot personally confirm that it works, but I know it turns on, and the last owner confirmed its correct functionality.
Price is pretty firm, as I'm just looking to recoup what I have in it. I'd be open to a trade for a tape multitracker of some kind if anyone has one they're looking to move in order to step up to digital. I know that's something most people did 25 years ago, but I've decided to move back to a more tactile domain... even more tactile than my current hybrid setup.
