Piano, Guitar and Ukulele Lessons (Virtual and in person) (Grandview, UA, Dublin, Clintonville, Worthington, Campus)

offered in person
offered virtually
My name is Alex and I provide quality music lessons in your home that are easy and convenient for you. I will drive to you and save you the hassle of packing up your instrument and driving to a studio, waiting for the lessons, packing up and driving back.

Lessons are structured on a weekly basis; lessons are typically a half hour and at the same time every week. In lessons we can cover a wide range of topics, including technique, reading notation, instrument maintenance, playing by ear, song writing and improvisation. Virtual lessons are also an option; even if we are doing in-person lessons usually, sometimes a virtual lesson is the best option when there's inclement weather or sickness involved. I also host two recitals every year to give students a chance to perform and showcase what they can play.

More about me: I have been teaching in the Columbus area for over ten years. I have maintained a studio of up to 34 students and have also taught at the Wellington School in Upper Arlington and at various guitar classes and workshops throughout Columbus. I have had a full range of students from beginner to very advanced and worked with students on guitar, bass guitar, piano, ukulele and banjo. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music composition from the University of Akron and and a Master of Music in Music Composition from Cleveland State University.

The rate for lessons is 180 per month; that covers the lessons whether there are four or five lessons. If you start in the middle of the month, the first payment will be prorated. This is very comparable to what studios in the area charge (but without the convenience). Payment is due on the first lesson of the month and I accept cash, check, Zelle, CashApp or Venmo.

Please feel free to send me a message with any questions; I'd love to help you get started on your musical journey.
