***WE ARE THE ONLY A+ BBB rated MOVING COMPANY ON CRAIGSLIST and the ONLY company REGISTERED WITH THE STATE of Ohio to move household goods. Any company claiming to be licensed will have their license number in the ad, it's State Law to post the number, they won't just say they are licensed (several ads falsely stating they are licensed). A CPCN number is required. A DOT or MC number have NOTHING to do with being licensed in Ohio.

FastGood4Cheap Moving Services
LOCAL.... we won't be arranging trucks and day labor or renting a uhaul.... We will actually be doing your move with our own employees and trucks! We are NOT a handyman company or day labor company, we ONLY do moving!

We offer flat rates *NO time tracking... your quote will be the EXACT cost of the move, NOT an estimate, regardless of how long the move takes! Much better then hourly rates! On hourly rates, you don't know the full cost of the move until the move is completed!

The pricing in the ad is for Columbus Ohio local moves (for small and average moves at least one of the addresses will need to be within 30 miles of Columbus) ***for large moves, both addresses have to be in the Columbus area.

You do the packing, we do the loading, hauling and unloading into the appropriate rooms.... YOU SAVE MONEY! Listed below are our cheap flat rates! NO TIME TRACKING! Get the exact cost of your move! Also listed are discounted dates that save you even more! ***Please note, we do not offer a labor only service (a move without using our trucks)

*****BEWARE *****

OHIO LAW REQUIRES THAT ALL MOVING COMPANIES POST THEIR CPCN NUMBER (license to move household goods), IN ANY AD, WEBSITE AND QUOTE. A DOT OR MC NUMBER WITHOUT A CPCN IS STILL OPERATING ILLEGALLY (Shields Movers entire ad is about being licensed, but they aren't licensed in Ohio or even remotely near the State, they use day labor) ***check the ads, false advertising is rampant! it's the only way they can get customers and compete. The best search for google is putting in the company name and better business bureau.

How to check if a company is lying (if a company is lying in their ad, they will not follow through if there are issues on moving day):
1. Google the company name and city
2. Googe the company name and bbb (I'm not fan of the bbb, but they are by far the most reliable as far as determining how long a company has been around and their rating). Any company that claims a decade or more in business, will have a bbb page! The BBB doesn't give you a choice. They usually don't notice or list a company if they have less than a couple of years in business.
3. Ignore google reviews if you see a craigslist company with dozens of recent reviews. There are marketing companies that sell fake google reviews. A small moving company takes years to amass even a couple dozen reviews. Very few customers will leave a review and a good company will make a practice of not asking for a review.
4. Yelp is decent, although they have a strange filtering system. Good to check to see what their rating is or if they have one.
5. Does the company have a verified commercial address? If it is residential or no address, then beware. If you can't find the company, then theft or any issues that would require a legal notice (such as suing for damages) will never happen.
6. Is the company registered with Ohio? The only way that Ohio protects consumers is to require the company to post their license number in any ad. If you don't see a license number, they aren't registered to move household goods.
7. Does the company purposely post over a legitimate company ad? If you see tons of posting from the same company, look and see, they are using burying ads from legitimate companies
8. When getting a quote and booking.... is everything done by phone versus in writing email? The State of Ohio requires written quotes. A phone quote can and most likely will become a "he said, she said" situation on moving day. You will end up paying more than what you were quoted on the phone... And you can't really argue because you have nothing to refer back to.
9. Does a company claim to be insured? If they claim to be insured but you don't see their Ohio registration number (as required by State law in their ad), they aren't insured. To be registered, all it takes is proof of insurance! If they are insured, why wouldn't they be registered?
10. Are they using rental trucks? If they are using rental trucks, then there is no transportation or cargo insurance for your items. The state requires moving companies to carry 750,000 transportation on each truck and 20,000 cargo. You can't get this insurance on rental trucks. Most companies aren't registered with the state because the insurance is very expensive. Movers using rental trucks are pretty much day laborers, they aren't a real moving company.
