I’m looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined person with a basic set of hand tools who’s
interested in occasional, simple automotive work and light hands-on help when needed at a small shop I run.
This is not a full-time or steady part-time job. It’s more of a call-you-when-I-need-you arrangement
— a few hours here and there.
Typical work includes:
• Replacing starters, alternators, belts
• Oil changes and basic maintenance
• Simple bolt-on automotive work
• Occasionally helping move or lift things (nothing extreme)
I’ll be on-site and directing the work — I know what needs to be done and just need someone
comfortable turning wrenches and following instructions.
This might be a good fit if you are:
• Semi-retired, between things, or just want extra cash
• Mechanically inclined (doesn’t need to be a professional mechanic )
• Dependable and show up when you say you will
• Comfortable taking direction and working independently
• Not looking to charge shop rates
Pay: Around $15 to $18/hr depending on the task
Location: Local area Whitehall / Columbus East Side
I’m looking for someone I can rely on long-term, even if the work is occasional.
If this sounds like you, send a short message with:
• Your mechanical background
• Tools you have
• General availability
