compensation:Base pay of $22.50/hr. + 3rd Shift differential of $1.75/hr. = Total Wage of $24.25/hr. Full benefits offered including but not limited to medical, dental, vision insurance, paid holidays and paid time off.
DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for accurate weighing and measuring of raw material colorants, stabilizers, and other product ingredients according to process documentation. It also assists in staging materials for production, calibrating scales, RF scanning materials to the proper warehouse locations, completing necessary paperwork, ensuring raw material inventory is accurate, and safely and efficiently performing all tasks and activities of the job.
Work Schedule:
Production 3rd Shift - 9:45 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning.
Wages:
$22.50 per hour base wage plus $1.75 per hour 3rd Shift differential; total wage is $24.25 per hour. Wages paid weekly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs all tasks in a safe manner, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and completes all required safety training.
• Properly weighs pigment and stabilizer raw materials according to customer formulas on process documents.
• Moves and records material movements and scans used materials to proper warehouse locations.
• Completes required paperwork and other documentation.
• Ensures good housekeeping in work areas and proper setup for following shift.
• Verifies daily calibration of all scales used in the Color Room.
• Hooks up stabilizer and ensures sourcing is to the correct production bins.
• Delivers stabilizer and raw materials to the 38 ft. floor level in a timely manner.
• Fills appropriate production bins with stabilizer and other raw materials.
• Understands and fills out stabilizer tags.
• Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Must have strong English written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have organizational and prioritization skills.
• General computer knowledge helpful.
• Must pay good attention to details.
• Able to work independently and be a good self-starter.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work processes, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Must be able to read and follow manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to transport packages, tools, and/or equipment from point to point.
• Must complete in-house forklift driving certification.
• Must tolerate working in temperature extremes (hot and cold).
• Must be able to work in a high noise environment with hearing protection.
• Must be dependable and have excellent attendance.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One year of plant/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior forklift operation experience with an excellent driving record preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Regularly
• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Communicates via phone, email, in person
• Required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and/or hear.
• Operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer.
Frequently
• Talk and hear to coordinate day-to-day phone and in-person transactions.
• Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, and risk of electric shock and non-hazardous chemical agents.
Occasionally
• Handle, with mechanical equipment, heavy loads over 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level may be possible. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required while performing this job. This can include a hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, safety footwear, and others depending on the location within the plant.
