I bought this at auction thinking it to be a hydraulic ram, but it's a track tensioner that fits multiple brands of track equipment.

See pictures, it's about 3" diameter and about 12" long with the ram retracted. The ram is about 2" diameter.

There is only one fitting on the side, and two threaded mounting holes on the stationary end.
