Up for sale is a gorgeous antique mid 1800’s to early 1900’s 70-piece set of silver plated flatware or silverware including a Community mahogany wood flatware or silverware chest. This is a mixed set of flatware composed mostly of 1847 Rogers Bros. and Community silverware, with a few other brands mixed in, including some pieces by Wm. Rogers & Son, Boardman & Son, Reed & Barton. The set includes the following pieces of silverware: 12 dinner knives, 5 fruit or butter knives, 11 dinner forks, 11 salad forks, 8 dinner spoons, 11 soup spoons, 2 tea spoons, 3-piece roast carving set (knife, sharpening steel & fork), 1 cake server, 1 pie server, 1 soup ladle, 1 gravy ladle, 1 sugar spoon and 1 gray felt silverware polishing cloth. The flatware chest has scratches on top, but is otherwise clean and in good condition. The flatware shows typical signs of very minor wear that would be expected from age and normal use over the course of many years, but overall it is in beautiful antique condition! If interested, please send me an e-mail and you can stop by to pick it up for only $175 firm (cash only at time of pick up). Thanks for looking!
