Let you're people who read this tonight hear from you. Teach us what you want us to learn. Grant each of us the Grace that we need Jesus to correctly implement the lesson learned in our every day life. Draw us nigh unto thyself and fan the flames of desire to be more like you Jesus. God please continue to use me and this church to reach out to people who are hurting, lost, desperate, and spiritually dead. Let your sermons yank on their heart strings till they just can't refuse you no more. Bring them to a saving relationship with you and transform their lives. Lord as for this ministry I pray that you'll have your way and not mine. I thank you and I love you very much for everything. Satan in Jesus name I command you to flee right now away from those that might be reading this that is broken hearted and just all around lost and desperate. I also command you to flee from the ones who are in need of a physical or mental healing. You absolutely have no authority in any of their lives. So by the blood of Jesus Christ you must flee. I pray this prayer in the Holy and precious name of Jesus Christ. AMEN

INTRODUCTION:
Tonight we are going to start a series called the REAL DEAL. We're going to be covering various topics like the REAL JESUS and the REAL CHURCH. These are just two of the various topics we are going to be covering. This is desperately needed due to today we have so many cheap nock off fakes that imitate the REAL DEAL. Yet it's only the REAL DEAL that is legitimate and in many cases only the REAL DEAL will get you into Heaven. Tonight we are going to cover a subject that most try to avoid. Many people today don't know the real Jesus. In fact many folks don't really want to know the real Jesus. They'd rather just make up a Jesus that fits their liking. Many even call other humans like the Catholic priests another Christ and Holy Father. Dearly beloved let me be real clear tonight. If you're not in an intimate relationship with the real Jesus of the Holy Bible then you're not going to make it to Heaven. None of the false Christs will get you into Heaven for they neither can truly forgive sin nor did they shed innocent blood to be your propitiation for your sin. So tonight as you can guess that is exactly what we're going to cover the REAL DEAL, THE REAL BIBLICAL JESUS. We're going to cover who He is, His character, and His emotions. So let's dig in and make sure that when we are worshipping we aren't worshipping an idol or fake god. So let's dig in shall we.

SERIES: THE REAL DEAL
SERMON: THE REAL CHRIST
1). Let's start off by examining who is the real Biblical Jesus. Was He just a good teacher, a Prophet, or was He God in the flesh? Let's look at what the Bible has to say about who the REAL Jesus is. Let's compare your Jesus to the REAL DEAL.
A). Jesus is God in flesh. Many people, especially the Islamic faith, claim that He was only a good teacher or a Prophet. Some others said that since He clearly claimed to be God in the flesh that He is rather an idiot or something worse like a false god trying to deceive people. So knowing that all Scripture is true and accurate let's look deeper into the Scriptures to see what they say about Him being God in the flesh.
1). Jesus claims to be the same person as God to Philip when He got asked by Philip to show them the Father. (John 14:8-9) Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
2). His name Emanuel, that is used about His name by the Angel to to Joseph, which means God with us. (Matthew 1:23)Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
3). Even the Pharacies knew that only God could forgive sin. Yet knowing this Jesus stated He had power to forgive a man's sin. So to directly show the Pharacies and everyone else that Jesus is God in the flesh Christ stated He forgives this man's sin. (Mark 2:5-12) When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
a). Now many today say that the priest and pope has this power. Yet the ones that was entrusted with the Oracles of God knew there was only 1 person able to truly forgive sin. That is GOD ALONE. In fact dearly beloved by stating that you or any other human can truly forgive sin is blasphemous and this is one huge reason why the Pharacies wanted Christ dead. They knew He was proclaiming to be God by stating He can forgive sin.
B). Jesus is not just God in the flesh but the Son of God. (Matthew 3:16-17) And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
C). The real Biblical Jesus is the Lamb of God. Our sacrificial Lamb who was slain for the remission of our sin. John the Baptist even recognizes Jesus as the Lamb of God. (John 1:29)The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
1). The blood of Jesus Christ is how we gain victory over sin and Satan. (Revelation 12:10-11) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
2). Just like in the days of Moses and the Exodus out of Egypt. We place the blood of Jesus on the door posts of our hearts otherwise when the judgment comes, talking about the Great White Throne Judgment, we will be cast into the Lake of FIRE with Satan enduring everlasting torment.
D). Jesus is our mediator between us and the Heavenly Father. See as you'll see, dearly beloved, that God cannot look upon sin. In fact because of this, Jesus Himself felt the separation from God the Father on the Cross at Calvary. So Jesus is our mediator sitting on the right hand of God. Basically due to Jesus being our mediator all God sees is the Blood of Jesus when He looks at us. (1 Timothy 2:5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 John 2:1-2) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1). The word propitiation here is an interesting word. Let's look at what this word actually means. It's an appeasement or conciliation of our wrongs. In other words the blood of Jesus reconciles us back to good standing to in God's eyes. Basically due to Jesus being our propitiation we are set back in the Favor of God.
E). Jesus is Judge of the world. Jesus is not just the mediator but is the judge of this world and also of the Christian folks as well. (John 5:22) For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: (Romans 2:16) In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
1). Yes dearly beloved everyone will be judged. Both the Christian and the non-Christian. Please see the Judgment Day sermon to further research out these two different judgments.

2). Now tha that we know who Jesus is. We must get acquainted with and get to know more about the character of Jesus. We need to look deeper into what kind of person Jesus is. Many people try and say that Jesus is all loving and accepting, which is true, but they leave it at that. They completely bypass the fact that Jesus is Judge and that God cannot even look upon sin. They try to make it seem that you can make it into Heaven and stay in your sinful lifestyle never really getting your new nature. So let's dig in and see what God/Jesus is really like. Do they have emotions and such? Let's find out.
A). Does Jesus/God have emotions like us? Well yes He does. From the beginning we were created in the very image of God. (Genesis 1:27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
1). Not only were we created in the image of God, which would mean that He does have emotions like us, but Scripture states that we have a High priest, whom is Jesus, that has been tested and tempted like we have. (Hebrews 4:15-16) For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
2). Jesus hungred after His fast. (Matthew 4:2) And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3). Jesus got physically tired. (John 4:6) Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
4). Jesus felt sadness and even cried like we do. (John 11:33-35) When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept.
a). In fact Jesus is sad for those that rejects His offer of Salvation. He cried out to God the Father to forgive them that was killing Him. (Luke 23:33-34) And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
B). God/Jesus is full of love for us. Just as we covered earlier God loves this earth enough that He gave His only begotten Son. Not to mention the love that Christ has. Christ suffered the most excruciating death ever just so you and I can live with Him in Heaven and not suffer eternal torment in Hell Fire. In fact some try to say that God can't be a loving and caring Savior because of Hell. That's actually the furthest from the truth. God gives us the desire of our heart. If we don't want Him then He don't force Himself on us. He crys out to everyone to come to Him through Christ Jesus to repent of our sins and receive everlasting life and forgiveness of sins. The Scriptures state dearly beloved that God isn't wanting any to perish. (2 Peter 3:9) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (Ezekiel 18:21-23) But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
1). God/Jesus will accept us just the way we are. Dearly beloved you cannot clean up your own life. It is absolutely impossible to wash yourself clean, spiritually talking. Jesus even stated that He came to be our physician and to heal us and forgive us our trespasses (sins). (Mark 2:16-17) And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
C). Knowing that God/Jesus is full of love and does care for you and me most people say wow I can go sin and God will forgive me. Some others think that due to God being so loving and accepting that they don't have to change. This is far from the truth. Yes it is true that we cannot change ourselves and that Jesus came to call the sinners to repentance and to save the lost. Yet if you go to a doctor dear friend you don't expect to stay the same do you? No of course not. Just the same here. Jesus calls us to repentance. This is a turning away from sin and turning to Christ. Let's just look a bit deeperinto God's feelings about sin.
1). God hates, yes you read right HATES, sin. (Proverbs 6:16-19) These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
2). God is so Holy and hates all sin so much that He can't even look upon sin. When Jesus took our sin upon Himself He felt a separation from God the Father. Sin separates us from God. (Mark 15:34) And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Habakkuk 1:13) Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
3). Sin cannot enter into Heaven. Nothing that is impure and defiled will enter into the gates of Heaven. (Revelation 21:10, 27) And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
D). God is righteous and JUST. This means that He cannot lie nor do any wrong. In fact this means that God/Jesus will punish the wicked and give each of us what we deserve. Now you might be saying now wait 1 minute here pastor. Isn't that a contradicting statement, knowing that all have sinned and fall short and that there isn't any that are good? No dearly beloved it isn't. See that's the reason Christ had to come in the flesh to shed real blood for the remission of sins. Jesus had to go through all that suffering just so He could be our replacement on that cross and die for us. This is why it is so important for us not to continue to sin willfully. See can you really say that you love Jesus and know that your sin is what placed Him on that cross and continually seek to push those nails in further? No dearly beloved that's why Christ said if you love me keep my commandments and why the writer of Hebrews stated that if we sin willfully then there remains no more sacrifice for sins. This is also why it is so critical for us to understand that we absolutely need Jesus and not keep going about life as it were okay to sin and Jesus will still accept me.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved now that we have a pretty clear idea of who the REAL DEAL is and His character/feelings are. Let's each of us examine the God that we serve. Do we try and change God to fit into our own ideas and liking or do we serve the REAL DEAL. If you change who God is in your life then dearly beloved friend you are serving a false god whom Satan is behind and is leading you straight into his grasp taking you into Hell fire with him. Yes it is true that Jesus is loving, caring, and accepting. He's there calling for every single person to come to Him and accept His gift of eternal life through His blood that He shed for you on the cross. The thing though that we cannot water down, forget, or change is the fact that God is a JUST, RIGHTEOUS, AND HOLY God who hates sin so much that He can't even look at it and that He will punish those who don't wash that sin away by the free gift of Grace and Mercy through the Blood of Jesus Christ that is offered. We cannot forget nor water down and change the fact that when we get saved we become a new creation. This new creation and new nature is that of God's own nature. This means that we to will hate sin in our lives. Plus as we've discussed before true salvation only comes by real repentance. One must, I repeat MUST, REPENT of their sin in order to be saved. So this week as we seek God's face, worshipping Him, and witnessing for Him let's make sure that we are worshipping and witnessing for the REAL DEAL and not just some made up false god. Let's make sure that our actions really witness the love, mercy, Grace, righteousness and Holiness of the REAL GOD.

Now let me just take a moment here to address those that might be here tonight and don't know the REAL JESUS of the Bible. Beloved friend if you're here tonight and after examination of the God you serve can say that it's not the real Jesus. Let me assure you that you're not going to make it into Heaven. Only those that have an intimate relationship with Jesus and have accepted His sacrifice for their own personal sin will make it. You might even be reading this and say well hey I don't believe that there is even a God so I don't serve any god. That's the furthest from the truth dearly beloved. You place yourself as your god. You and all everyone who does not accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior will spend eternity in Hell Fire with Satan. I've got great news though. Jesus is calling for you right now beloved. He loves you so much that He's calling out for you and stretching out His hand hoping that you'll accept His sacrifice as your own. You can have an assuredness that you'll live in paradise for eternity. Just come to Jesus right now. Cry out to Him. Ask Him to save you and wash you clean of all your sin and unrighteousness. If you'd like to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior pray with me right now. Jesus I come to you tonight as a sinner. I'm lost and guilty of sinning against you. I know there's nothing I can personally do to save myself. I do however know that you can and will save me. You died on that cross for me. I accept your offer of eternal life through the Blood that you shed at Calvary. Wash me clean Lord Jesus tonight of all my sin and help me live a life pleasing to you. By faith I call myself saved by Jesus and a Child of the Almighty MOST HIGH GOD. Amen. Now if you just prayed that prayer or would like to pray a similar prayer with someone PLEASE get in touch with me so I can personally welcome you into God's loving family and pray with you.

Now if you're here tonight and need prayer for ANYTHING else or have a praise report you'd like to share please also get in touch with me so we can go BOLDLY to the Throne of Grace together in prayer.

Till next time y'all may God richly bless each of you and remember that if you'd like to hear me preach in person please have your own home pastor get in touch with me so we can schedule a time when I can come preach a revival or a sermon or two.
