2 Bucklings from excellent milking lines looking to enhance milk production in your herd. Born 4/18/26.
2 goat bucklings from proven Saanen and Nubian milking lines (sired by Blissberry Nubian using AI – from lines with 4.5-5% milkfat, 120+ pounds milkfat per 305 days). They should be ready to breed this Fall and should produce very strong milking offspring, likely with good milkfat.
Their dam “Bohé” is 2 y.o. and was sired by a registered Saanen buck from strong milk/show lines. Her dam is “Maple,” a doe that we can hardly dry off from Saanen and Nubain milk/show lines. Maple has reliably produced a gallon of milk per day for 3 ½ years and has only been dry for about 2 weeks during that period. Bohé, the dam of the bucklings, is 75% Saanen and 25% Nubian.
These bucklings are 2 of goat kid triplets that have put on 95 pounds between them in 8 weeks. Based on the growth rate of her triplets, Bohé is producing an exceptional amount of nutrition in her milk. (For reference, this is for triplets and is beyond expected growth rate per kid for meat-dairy cross animals.) Their sire by Blissberry Nubian AI adds structural soundness and udder structure, from proven milking lines (4.5 – 5% milkfat, 120+ pounds milkfat per 305 days). These kids are 62% Nubian/38% Saanen.
Bohé is not registered. Her dam Maple was not registered since we did not have the papers for her Nubian sire. If it is of interest, it might be possible to register Maple’s dam “Ivey” and mark Maple’s sire as “unknown”… to get Maple registered as grade/experimental… and then register Bohé as grade/experiemental… and then Bohé’s kids …
