Dox Genuine Leo
8-year-old AQHA Cremello Gelding
14.2 Quirky and Forward
Moonie has had reining training and worked cows. He used to be a Ranch Versatility horse but never took to it as he is generally high headed and on the muscle. He was purchased by us in February of 2025 and was started on barrels that spring. He has been worked with by my 13-year-old daughter regularly since then (with the exception of winter months/rainy season). She has him patterned pretty good on barrels and poles and he has won some 3d money locally and some blue ribbons at local playday/fun shows. He has 10 or so entries under his belt and loves to go fast. He does not love slow work and has the brains of a gelding. This has caused my daughter and him to butt heads. She micromanages him and nit picks and they do not work well together. She holds him to the standard of her mare (who is perfect in every way and worth twice her weight in gold). I have seen them put down some INCREDIBLE practice runs, ones that would have absolutely clocked 1D locally. He can really turn a barrel when he is in a mood to and with the right rider, I think he would excel. He is patterned on poles also but has never been entered. I have quite a few videos (the good, bad and ugly). PPE welcome at buyers’ expense. He has good feet, is currently barefoot and our farrier is willing to speak with the future owner if they so wish to discuss his experience with him. My daughter would be interested in trading for a mare (3-12) that is broke, un-patterned, lightly started or patterned/running. Cash price 8k or trade for an AQHA MARE of equal value. NO GELDINGS. Minimum 14.2 Hands. Please PM for videos.
