Mid-Century Modern Large Scale La Barge Hand Painted Églomisé Chinoiserie Mirror. This exquisite chinoiserie reverse hand-painted glass, gilt and églomisé mirror was realized by the esteemed American producer, La Barge, circa 1990. The piece features two chromed and reeded rectangular frames with a gilded hand-painted chinoiserie motifs in the center. These depictions are culled from ancient Chinese scroll paintings and include renderings of butterflies, cranes, willow trees, cherry blossoms, meandering rivers and song birds among other images. The inner chrome reeded rectangular form encompasses beveled mirror.

Photos show details of mirror in original box. This mirror is in like new condition. Hung once then stored in original box.

Approx. 38-1/4" w x 42" h. American c. 1990.
