Key attributes required for the position:
• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Thorough understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Demonstrates accuracy, speed and urgency in executing assigned tasks
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive chef or sous chef's instructions
• Clean station and properly store and/or dispose of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure food is prepared consistently, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests
