This is a vintage Magnavox tube stereo console and record player, likely from the late 1950s.
The set consists of two separate gorgeous, mahogany-veneer cabinets, one housing the record player and radio components, and the other for record storage.
It features a multi-record changer that can play 16, 33, 45, and 78 rpm speed records.
The original speaker system includes a 15" Alnico woofer and a 6x9" speaker in each cabinet, providing a full sound.
The record changer is often a Collaro Imperial model with a Pianissimo pickup.
These units are part of the mid-century modern aesthetic and are popular collectibles.
It works! Both AM and FM function. The tape aux input works with an RCA connected cd player, making it a strong candidate for a Bluetooth upgrade.
I have run various 45's on the phonograph, and while the pickup is scratchy, once it playing it sound nice.
The phonograph does not appear to have ever been serviced and could likely benefit from a full clean and service.
Each cabinet measures approx 24x16x31
