All but 1 section of Authentic 1960sTrans-Lux Stock Market Scrolling Quote Display from a Stock Brokerage Office. The Jet was a continuous tape composed of flippable cards, a flip-dot display. One segment of each card has a bright flourescent green dot on one side while the other was black. As each card passed by a row of electrically-controlled pneumatic jets, some were flipped, writing out a message which would pass along the display just as modern digital stock tickers do. The system would be controlled using a shift register which would read in the stock quotes and translate them into pneumatic pulses. These were replaced by LED displays and Quotrons.
