SHAG Josh Agle 12 color hand-pulled Serigraph - The Impossible View. Released in 2002. Signed and Limited Edition #150/200.
Shows a couple having lunch in San Francisco with cable car and Golden Gate bridge. I've read this is the only Shag featuring San Francisco icons.
The print measures approximately 17" x 34" so it's not small like many of his pieces. It is professionally matted and framed in a teak frame measuring 26" x 42". Like new condition as pictured.
Goes well in any mid-century modern, MCM, tiki, retro, palm springs decor.
This is an original Serigraph by Shag. Shag did not issue certificates of authenticity until around 2003, so all 200 copies of this print were never issued with a COA.
I am the original owner from 2002 and had it professionally framed, which cost $420 at the time. Smoke free home.
It's hard to take good photos because of the reflection, but it's in great shape, you can clearly see the signature and number in the other photos. I can take more upon request. It was never hung anywhere with sun exposure.
It sold UNFRAMED on ebay for $1220 (remember the teak frame cost over $400 in 2002!) see image in photos.
I'm selling because this was a gift from an ex and I'm only keeping art with no attachments. Otherwise it's still super cool!
