For sale:
Two original and authentic MOON MULLINS
comic strips, dated 1974, drawn and signed by
cartoonist Ferd Johnson.
These two comic strips are the ORIGINAL
drawings; they are NOT reprints of any kind.
Johnson signed these drawings in the far right
corners of each strip.
The price is $35 for either one of these comic
strips, or $60 for both of them.
MOON MULLINS was created in 1923 by
cartoonist Frank Willard, and was continued
by cartoonist Ferd Johnson from about 1948
until 1991. Johnson had been Willard's
assistant from almost the very beginning of
MOON MULLINS, and gradually contributed
more and more to the comic strip until he
was doing all of the writing and drawing.
However, Johnson was not officially given
credit for his work until the 1950s.
These comic strips are about six inches by
seventeen inches. They are in good condition,
with the usual newspaper markings that comic
strips receive prior to being published.
