This is a vintage Harris Tweed all wool jacket / sports coat. Gray herringbone with subtle blue and yellow threads and gray lining (see pictures). It was custom made for my dad in 1994 by a tailor in Chagrin Falls OH; my dad died a few years later.
It continues to be a warm and useful jacket.
There's no size label, but these are my measurements of the garment:
--Sleeve length, from shoulder seam to edge of sleeve: 25"
--Back, measured from shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 19-1/2"
--Back length, measured from base of collar to hem: 30-1/8"
--Chest measured around jacket at underarm: approximately 50" (This is a hard measurement to get!)
Condition notes:
--1 buttonhole (the main one you'll use) is stretched. See picture. It still works fine! and is mostly noticeable only when unbuttoned.
--Some buttons are scuffed. (See pictures.) Easy to replace if this is an issue for you.
--Inner chest pocket lining edge is slightly worn. (See picture.)
--Some hemming along bottom needs to be done, though the hem is not falling anywhere.
Newly dry cleaned. From a smoke-free, pet-free household.
