I have a Circa 1953 Hawthorne Girls Bicycle sold by Montgomery Ward. Bicycle has had fenders and peddles replaced. Tires need air.
This bicycle is unique in that it shows (4) four bars extending down from the fork head to the lower part of the vertical seat bar. This is a hard bicycle to find. Bicycle has been in storage for the past year but was fully functional when last used. Most bicycles of this type were made by Cleveland Welding Company but others also did so for this model No serial number has been found. The dark spot in the photos is a "shadow" due to the sun. I do have a second, originally matching bicycle, that has not been updated with new fenders and peddles. The set was used by twin girls.
