OR BEST OFFER: Two old safes, one inside the other, believed to be from late 1800s early 1900s. Came from what I was told was the first post office building in Sunbury, OH. I own the building but did not independently verify this.
Yale combination lock, both on outside door, and smaller interior safe inside.
Measures 32Wx30Dx51H, and it's heavy. Except for the disassembly described below, it is in good cosmetic condition. It may have been painted in the past. At any rate, it's black now and I don't have any way to know if that's original or not.
The smaller safe inside appears complete, but I have not opened up the back. Main door has had the lock mechanism disassembled as seen, but I believe most of the parts are there to make it work again. Someone also removed the fire brick that was the inside door lining. The back panel for the door is missing, presumed to be light steel. I am NOT a locksmith... you will have to decide this for yourself.
It is on metal wheels, and they roll freely. I can load this onto your trailer or truck....forklift is on site. YOU will be responsible for securing it to your trailer or truck for transport.
