Being competitive I hate to lose. But there was a lot of good news yesterday for liberals, now listen up Conservative tea baggers. The two governor's races that republicans won, both candidates said no thanks to Palin and and the tea baggers. Nobody ever thought a Dem was going to win in Va. and I would like someone to show me a poll that ever had the Dem even within striking distance. Corzine (NJ) did something last year that really pissed of the voters, I forget what it was but I knew a long time ago it looked like her was going down and would have lost to a tomato can. Neither of these two races can be seen as a referendum on Obama. Neither were upsets, neither really indicate anything, well except for the most important part. The elections were a resounding defeat for the conservatives, and that is a good thing.
NY 23 is the most telling race. Yesterday they elected the first Democrat to congress since the civil war. In 130 years the seat has gone to a republican. The tea baggers threw their entire weight behind the candidate, Rush, Hannity, Beck, and Palin. They even ran the Republican candidate out of the race, and still they lost. Here in our town a tea bagger ran for Mayor and yesterday I voted for a republican for the first time. Tea bagger defeated. The good people of Heath and Chillicothe said no to Corporate law enforcement. So I am feeling pretty good today. The people have spoken and have chosen moderation over extremism. The conservatives are ripping the republican party to shreds, and look to be finally relegated to the crazy uncle in the closet status they deserve.
Ohio seems to be moving left as they voted by a large margin for casinos, something that has been resoundingly defeated every time before. It was also a defeat of the scare tactics that have served the right for so long. You know, the negative ads, even trying to vilify a former republican lawmaker. Nice try losers.
And of course there isn't a con out there that will even want to talk about Ca. 10.
The Conservatives won nothing yesterday. Moderates and sanity ruled.
Yep it is a good day to be a Democrat.
And please save your Faux, MSMBC, CNN, and the other MSM talking points for someone who cares. I don't watch any of them. But by all means though, after Rush and crew tell you how to think, let us know. I will curious to hear the spin, lol.
