This is an opportunity to sell, swap, trade, or just show off anything musical. Instruments, amplifiers, sound systems, CD's, records, tapes, or ANYTHING that's music-related. It was an opportunity to visit with other local musicians, look for a new band member (or a new band), show off your latest CD, and maybe even join in an acoustic jam session during the event.

Each individual (who registeres for a table) will be assigned an area to display their sale items.

I'm sure there aren't many bands out there sitting around saying "I think this sounds really sweet, but what we really need here is a WIND SYNTH" ... but maybe at least some of you guys could see the value of adding some sax/horn/flute/whatever sounds to your mix. Even NOFX has a trumpet in their punk band. :-)

I have taken this wind synth out to play several times with various people in the last few months, and everyone who hears it agrees this rig sounds amazing. I have a blast playing it and want to get out and play even more. So let me know if you are a band that wants to add to your sound.

Chorus Columbus at Columbus State Community College is in search of a well-trained Tenor to serve as section leader. This is a paid position. Paid per rehearsal based on experience. Ideally, must attend three rehearsals a week, two noon rehearsals (Monday and Wednesday) and a Monday evening rehearsal. Looking for people interested in a longer term arrangement, must make commitment of at least one quarter. Must perform in end of quarter concerts with solo opportunities. Parking pass is provided. Ideally, looking for more lyric-type Tenor. This is a great opportunity to be paid good money to sing! We are currently prepping Mozart Vesperae Solennes de Confessore for our Fall quarter concert in December. We would like to secure a tenor to begin singing with us in January. You would not be required to sing in the concert for this quarter.

We have a Ludwig kit already there and set up, it's the John Bonham Ludwig replica. You can bring your own if you feel more comfortable.

We're jamming this Saturday....please come out and see if we can put something together! All you need to bring is yourself, cymbals and some sticks. We provide a really nice kit, though it does only have a single foot pedal, so you might wanna bring your double kick pedal if you want, but if you want to bring your own kit, please do!

We have 5 songs to audition with, we currently have a drummer helping us write but is too busy with his other band for a full time commitment. Nothing is recorded because we're still really new. Just a simple audition, we show you a couple songs and see if you like them and can put something to them.

Our plan is to be recording a 4 song EP by December and playing shows by the end of January. Some of our sponsorships that carried over from our previous bands are, JAGERMIESTER, JIM DUNLOP, SABIAN, DIRTBAG CLOTHING and a few other small endorsements. Due to our sponsorship with Jagermiester were looking for a drummer 18 and older.

What we're looking to do is to develop some grooves / song structures that we can get together with & basically jam on, possibly with some recording down the road.

Practice is being held each Sunday from 5pm-8pm at my home in Blacklick and we're hoping to have this thing ready to perform by spring.

I'm not much of a performer, but I wrote the whole thing on piano and would love to have someone learn those parts. In fact, I don't really mind if I don't play a part during the performances, I just like composing.

In place already are bass, guitar, drums and male vocals. I could very much use a cello/violin. I have a clarinetist, but could also use a flute and an oboe.

Honestly, if you like what I have done and think you can bring something to the table, please feel free to reply. I hope to either start or join a project here. I'm up for anything. Some sort of rock or pop would be good, though I don't really care what kind. My last band, Iconic Potter, was alt-rock--www.myspace.com/iconicpotter--and my band before that was Americana/roots rock--www.myspace.com/willamena. Big drumming influences include Matt Cameron (Soundgarden/Pearl Jam), John Bonham (Led Zeppelin-if you didn't know that Bonham drummed for Zeppelin, you probably should disregard this post), and Tony Williams (Miles Davis). Recently I've been listening to quite a bit of MuteMath, dredg, Blitzen Trapper, Ours, and Person L, as well as some heavier stuff like the Fall of Troy and Poison the Well.

We are scheduling dates for fairs and festivals for 2010 and still have some spiratic dates throughout winter. We specialize in opening for national acts around Ohio and surrounding areas. Some light touring will be required next year. Specific gear will be required: Roland RD-700 or equivilent; Hammond B-3 organ or B-3 Synthesizer(not a church organ). We are looking for a neat, clean individual with a professional look and attitude. Please only professional musicians need apply. We perform 45 to 90 minutes sets, consisting of originals and some covers from country and 80's rock.
