Our Men’s Group will be accepting new members this January. We are a group of friends that meet once a week. We discuss topics of interest, personal issues confronting us, and share the passing of our lives together. Such groups create a close bond between men that is often missing in today’s world of impersonal interactions. In addition to our weekly meetings we have occasionally taken short hiking, rafting, and camping trips. We enjoy discussing spiritual, philosophic, social and at times even political topics. Many of the men have a special interest in the writings of Joseph Campbell, Sam Keen, Robert Bly, Terence McKenna, Carl G. Jung, and Mircea Eliade. The group itself is bases on Bill Kauth’s book, A Circle of Men, where he describes the organization of successful and long-lasting men’s groups that foster friendship, support and trust.
Over the past few years we have lost several members due to changes in their life and location. The group is now at five, we would like to again be at eight to ten members.
