Multi-racial woman's group offers support and relaxing social activities for women who embrace their multi-cultural heritage and choose not to be put in a box. The goal of the group is to build friendships for women who come from inter-racial parents. We are also interested in creating more recognition instead of being invisible. If you have filled out a job application that doesn't have a box for "multi-racial" and forces you to choose a box that does not allow you to recognize your diverse background then this group is for you. If there are times at work or other areas when you deal with people who don't recognize your unique perspective on issues as a result of having inter-racial parents, then this group is definately for you. This group can be found on Meetup.com and is titled Multi-Racial Woman's Get Together. Please join us to share your experiences and have a little fun too.
