Key role in motor design, building and testing the validation of engineering samples, design growth and design confirmation samples all the way through pilot run and production ramp. Utilize simulation tools like ANSOFT/Infolytica to optimize electromagnetic lamination of Single & Three phase AC induction and brushless DC Motors. This effort will include continuous improvement of tools based on feedback of design engineers.<br>

Working knowledge of the FBM precision navigation system and associated equipment is critical.  It is preferred that the incumbent have a working knowledge of subsystem functions and physical layout of Navigation equipment aboard the Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine Platforms. <br>
      The incumbent performs technical program management projects as assigned for Strategic Navigation Systems.  Investigates, analyzes and resolves technical issues associated with the design specifications, development, prototype, qualification test, transition to repair/production, and packaging of Navigation Subsystems equipment.  Issues may include difficulties characterized by the extension and adaptation of established technical criteria/precedents, inadequate data, conflicting data, coordination with other projects or groups and integration of different phases or aspects.  He/she performs most of the coordination and consultation and provides resolutions in these controversial matters.<br>
Performs maintenance engineering for electronic equipment and devices that enables the incumbent to analyze, draw conclusions, evaluate and report on complex system operations functions, identify problems, and implement corrective action.  <br>
      Oversees and reports on contractor’s progress of technical assignment to activity management.  Prepares reports on completed or in process technical project work.  Makes written and oral presentations of results to all interested and affected parties.<br>
- Knowledge of how to reduce complex, interrelated or incomplete technical and management issues into individual tasks, conduct subsequent analysis, draw conclusions and make technical recommendations that result in significant impact to the technical program.  The incumbent will have the ability to identify and anticipate potential issues that have not been explored previously and to identify and anticipate potential areas of significant risk to the program,  and recommend potential solutions to eliminate or minimize their effect.<br>
<br>
- Knowledge of how execute complex tests for precision Navigation equipment and associated support equipment.<br>
<br>
- Due to the physical distance between the immediate supervisor located at SPSA Detachment Anaheim, CA and the employee, the incumbent will be assigned work in broad general terms.  As the on-site PMO employee and recognized authority for engineering evaluation/analysis, test, evaluation, and product assurance; the incumbent develops milestone time lines, identifies project needs, and works independently to accomplish tasks in order to meet the milestones and deadlines as assigned by the supervisor.<br>
<br>
- At times, critical needs for timely responses to complex problems require the incumbent to use resourcefulness, initiative, and judgement based on experience.  Should the need arise to depart from standard approaches, and guidelines including the theory and practice affecting the technical management of engineering projects, appropriate regulations, directives, contract terms, and other similar broad criteria, he/she will inform the supervisor at the earliest opportunity.<br>

- The incumbent may also find it necessary to directly interact with the SPS Chief Engineer regarding technical policy matters.<br>

- The incumbent must have the ability to evaluate novel and experimental technical solutions, including independent research and development efforts, involving new design configuration to existing systems. Under direction of the Chief Engineer, and the Engineering Supervisor perform general repair and maintenance of any and all equipment found in and around the hotel. Specific work areas will be assigned as needed to each employee, based on skill level and experience. Accurate record keeping on assigned tasks is required. Ensure that all safety systems are operable. Assist laundry mechanic and preventive maintenance mechanic as required. Must have ability to work on projects related to refrigeration, HVAC, heating and machinery. <description><![CDATA[Transmap, a progressive GIS Consulting firm, is looking for reliable people with clean driving records to support an ongoing field GIS data collection project in the Columbus area for a month beginning August 31st.  This will be a temporary/internship position with no benefits.  Transmap will be operating 2 shifts (7am – 1pm or 2pm – 8pm) seven days a week until the end of September.  Only candidates who are able to work at least 5-6 shifts a week will be considered (30-36 hours).  The pay rate for this temporary position will be $10.00 per hour.<br>

1.	Ability to operate a Transmap provided vehicle<br>
2.	Clean driving record (will be verified)<br>

Qualifications include bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical design experience and or public/institutional experience preferred.  Desired electrical design experience includes:<br>

•	Power distribution systems<br>
•	Layouts for control panels and conduits<br>
•	Wiring diagrams<br>
•	Lighting & telecommunications<br>
•	Specification<br>
•	Good communication skills/presentation<br>

Candidate will have to “wear multiple hats” and perform a wide variety of engineering tasks.  The wide variety of tasks for the position keeps the job interesting and the engineer both in and out of the office.  The position would include:<br>

•	Performing field work on renovation projects<br>
•	Designs<br>
•	CAD drafting<br>
•	Personnel supervision (CAD operator/designers)<br>
