Perform electronic and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance procedures on existing and future exhibits. Ideal candidate will possess an inventive spirit; initiative to work without direct supervision; effective oral and written communication skills; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously; responsible for timely completion of assigned tasks; and focused on quality service to internal staff and external customers and Guests. Ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with individuals at all levels, including a culturally diverse general public essential. Must have a good working knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot computer, electronic, electrical, and audio/visual systems; be skilled in the use of a wide variety of hand and power tools; able to lift and move heavy objects; walk in excess of 3 miles per day; and work from lifts, ladders and high platforms. Knowledge of the materials, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance of interactive exhibits and shows required. Ability to read basic blue prints, floor plans and wiring diagrams desirable. Applicable schooling or experience in electronics, mechanical or computer technology field preferred. The age requirement for this position is at least 18 years old.
