I have a Kenwood KDC-X991 car stereo that I bought from ebay. My car battery was removed and when it was put back, the stereo asked for a security code. I read the manual and the only solution it gives me is to send it to a Kenwood dealership to have them take care of it. I refuse to do so. I have either forgotten the code or the guy who I bought it from put a code in and he is unreachable. I did not steal the stereo and I do have proof of purchase. I'm a freelance graphic and web designer and student who has enjoyed success building websites as well as print projects for clients in Columbus and elsewhere. Entering winter quarter, I'm going to continue to have work due to word of mouth referrals and reputation, some of which I might not have time to do myself. I'd like to subcontract out some of this work to a like minded individual (NO firms please), preferably someone in a similar situation as I was a couple years ago when I was doing subcontracted work. This is a good opportunity to gain experience and get referrals, as well as get paid, of course.

The work will be irregular and sporadic at first but with luck will become more regular. This is for freelancers only, and I'm not limited to one person.

Skills:
Highly skilled in HTML/CSS, including CSS2/3 and cross browser testing and compatibility.
PHP/MySQL experience is good, but not required
JavaScript experience is a plus, especially jQuery and AJAX.
Photoshop skills are a must
Illustrator, Indesign, or Flash skills a plus
Drupal / Expression Engine / WordPress theme skills a plus
Familiar with FTP and similar technologies
Familiarity with Dreamhost's web panel is a plus, but not expected
An eye for design and typography, a background in graphic design is a plus

Responsibilities:
Turning PSD templates into complete, web-ready HTML/CSS templates using CSS layouts (NO table layouts) or CMS themes
Mark up client copy (usually Word format) into HTML, ready to drop into template, preserving formatting, etc. & possibly proofreading
Light photo retouching/preparation
If everything works out I can start sending you more substantial work, but these are the things I will need some extra help with in the near future

Other requirements:
Your own equipment, internet access, and Photoshop license (you'll be working from home)
Reliable email account
You have to be fast. The added time for sub contracting means I need a maximum 48 hour turn around time on most things.
Good communication skills - you'll be communicating with me and sometimes directly with clients.

IMPORTANT: You *must* be local to the Columbus area. I cannot stress this enough. Last time I tried this, I got roughly 150 emails from people all over the world who clearly didn't read my message. If you're not in Columbus, expect your response to be promptly deleted.

Pay:
No, this is not one of those listings offering to "pay" you with experience, though you will end up with that too. Your pay depends on the quality of your work. Some jobs will be flat rate, but expect $15-$30/hour+ for good work. We'll decide on your rate ahead of time for each project.

The create your account fields don't line up correctly and makes it look messy. Firefox renders most of them ok, but not perfect, and IE just butchers them.
