Performance Level I: No previous experience or prerequisites are necessary to enroll in PL I. This class begins with an overview of PTSP's philosophy of improv. PL I will focus on how to begin a scene, basic character work, and fundamental acting techniques including an introduction to object work. This class is structured as six three hour classes held on consecutive Saturdays from 2pm to 5pm beginning on January 9th 2010 and two three hour intensive application labs on Saturday February 27th and Sunday February 28th from 12pm to 3pm. The first six sessions will be taught by PTSP teachers and the two lab intensives will be taught by professional guest instructors from the acclaimed Annoyance in Chicago. The Annoyance is located in uptown Chicago and has been home to such performers as Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Scott Adsit, to mention a few. All or our professional instructors are currently teaching and performing in Chicago.

PHLEBOTOMY CLASSES: 12 day course Monday - Thursday.

Tuition includes, all material needed for class, venipuncture kit to take home, CD, unlimited use of skills room The Phlebotomy Technician Program is designed to provide all students with the knowledge & hands-on skills to perform competently as a skilled Phlebotomist. Students also will receive a solid background in the fundamentals of anatomy & physiology of venipuncture, professional patient relations, accurate record keeping, standard precautions, safety regulations (OSHA), & measures for working in this health care field. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to take the Phlebotomy Certification Exam for an additional $105.00 and will gain the credentials of a certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT). MUST HAVE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED, MUST BE 18YRS OLD OR OLDER. Must show proof of age and copy of diploma or GED at time of registration. National exam is given at the school via computor.

During class, we sing and play along with a mixture of contemporary and traditional children's songs, as well as my own originals. Featured in these classes is a large variety of percussion instruments that everyone gets to experiment with and play. Kids and adults love them! Other favorites are finger puppets, streamers & scarves, as well as musical parachute games & storybook songs.
Studies have shown that music aids in the intellectual, physical, emotional and social development of children. Music & More classes contribute to this development in a number of ways.
Participants will gain musical skills through learning new songs, rhythms, styles, dynamics and tempos; and by experimenting with percussion instruments.
These classes nurture creativity, self-expression, confidence and physical development by putting action to songs, using scarves and streamers in dance and movement, using finger puppets with songs, and again, experimenting with a variety of instruments.
Classes provide a means for social and emotional development through meeting new friends, sharing instruments and props, singing and playing as a group, younger children imitating older ones and older children leading the young.

While immersed in lively classical Chinese music, you will learn Chinese dance hand gestures, (eg orchid and butterfly hand gestures), body posture and fun movement combinations. I found Yun Fitness Bootcamp when I was looking for a Kettlebell class. And while all of the exercises in camp have been effective, I found the Kettlebells to be a great exercise for three reasons. First, there is no wasted time dealing with changing plates or pins or cams or anything that usually goes with other strength equipment. Second, even though the Kettlebell routines are short (but intense), I could feel the results faster than I have with any other type of strength training I've tried. Third, and maybe most important, each Kettlebell exercise engages multiple muscle groups building real world strength as you move it...this was brought home to me this weekend when I was doing some construction work. At no time did I do anything requiring me to do a bench press or a bicep curl, but time after time I was lifting concrete blocks and lumber in ways that were very close the Kettlebell moves we do in class and I could tell that the Kettlebells had built whole body strength. December 29, 1:30-3:00. Kids Can Bead class for children ages 8 and up. Laura Neal Agkerman will teach kids to make a memory wire bracelet, with the option of a matching necklace. Cost: $12 per child, or $20 per child for bracelet and necklace. All materials will be included (students are welcome to bring special charms or beads if they’d like). Preregistration is required.
December 30, 2:00-3:30 p.m. Winter Wonderland watercolor class for children ages 6-12. Teresa Morbitzer will teach students masking and wash techniques, creating a forest of birch trees!

“Diets were never my thing. I’d go on one, get hungry and give up, pig out, and then gain more weight than I lost. It was hard to get motivated while my skinny friends could eat whatever they wanted and not gain a pound. Nevertheless, I knew I had gained so much weight over a year that I had to keep trying. When I first started Metabolism Makeover I was reluctant, because I loved my sweets and Fazoli’s was almost an every day thing. However, I was relieved to find out that I could create menus according to what I liked (minus the processed and junk food) and I would get to eat six meals a day. I liked the healthy food I was eating and I felt good about myself after I ate it. Doubt surfaced again when I wasn’t losing as much weight as I thought I would. I thought that all diets are supposed to work fast. Then, my fitness coach reminded me that this wasn’t a diet I was on, it was a lifestyle... a permanent change.
