“As a person who used to eat anything she wanted without seeing it reflected back at her in the mirror, upping the size of my clothes with each change of the season finally took its toll. I was an athlete growing up and throughout college, so exercising was pretty much a way of life.
Once I put the sports behind me, I pretty much left the exercise behind too. It didn’t seem to make too much of a difference at first, but as you might guess, that soon subsided to the horrible foods I fed my body.
Eating out and making bad food choices soon became evident in my appearance and health. I just told myself, “This was not going to cut it anymore!” I felt horrible! I couldn’t stand to shop or pay money for the size of clothes I needed to fit my body. I began wearing the “comfortable” outfits (you know the ones, big t-shirt, jeans, baggier clothes) and declining when asked to go out with my friends, because in reality, I wasn’t comfortable at all. I lost a lot of my confidence and drive to even be me—which, let me tell you, isn’t a person that doesn’t get out and socialize! I wanted to be out with my friends and I wanted to feel good about myself, but my weight and the consequences of the added pounds just kept dragging me down.
My health was suffering... .I had high cholesterol, I was always tired, and I was stressed out a lot, just to name a few examples! And don’t get me started about trying to keep up with my stepdaughter, baby niece and nephews and cousins—it was next to impossible. I would be worn out before they even really got started. A day at work was about all I wanted to (or could) handle—as soon as I got home (after going out to dinner, of course!), it was lounging time until I had to get up and do it again the next day!
Well, not anymore!! I am proud to say that I have turned my life around. After months and months of wishing I looked like the person wearing a size 8, I decided to work my way toward BEING a person that wears a size 8. I’m not there... .yet, but in due time!
After I had been telling myself that I could do it on my own for more than two years, it was time to face the realization that IT WASN’T GOING TO HAPPEN! After learning the ins and outs of the course, I was sold--this was for me! I just made the decision that it was time to change for the better and if I wasn’t going to do it on my own, I needed the guidance and support to help me do it, and do it right. Thanks to the valuable information I learned in this six-week class, I am now more than 13 pounds lighter, much healthier, and much more active. I feel like a brand new person!
Eating out for the majority of my meals is a thing of the past. My diet has been transformed into one that works for my body and not against it! The changes in my appetite and cravings are amazing. I no longer crave the sweet desserts; I now crave a piece of fruit instead. I haven’t even really craved chocolate in a long time---which I used to eat A LOT! I cut my food portions by more than half and I’m still full. I eat often, and I eat well! I learned what to eat, how often, and why.
As soon as I implemented the program, I saw immediate results. My body changed, my clothes began fitting differently, and I suddenly found myself pulling at my clothes (and not to stretch them out!) so that they weren’t falling down. Before I knew it, some of my “old” clothes began to fit and look good again. I have a ways to go before I reach my ultimate goal, but without this course, I wouldn’t be anywhere near reaching my goal. Now, I understand what I need to do and I CAN do it. This course was the best decision I have made for myself in a long time! I wish I had done it years ago!”
